Native Style Flute in “D” (do-re-mi…)
This is a bamboo flute made in the Native style. Tuned at 432 hertz to the key of D. It’s scale climb is D-major (do-re-mi-fa-sol-la-ti-do). Measures in at a 21.5” length, with a 1” bore. A beautiful 7-holed flute. 6 holes in the front and thumb hole in the back. Built to the frequency of nature, it’s a truly unique blend for a flute. It sounds incredibly clean, deep, and has lovely volume. The voice is a fusion of sounding tribal, but following a western foundation, bringing about a lovely synthesis. A great flute for the intermediate and above considering it’s a such a large flute and has some large finger spacings to fill. There is a really beautiful wooden mouthpiece attached at the top that has some great grain, and is tapered nicely for comfort.
