Native style Flute in “E” (minor pentatonic)
A native style bamboo flute built in the key of E at 440 hertz. A 6-holed flute, 21” total length, with a 1” bore. This piece plays in the Minor Pentatonic with a lot of extra diversity built in. It’s finger holes are all pretty large, which can make for some really interesting combinations of halving notes and also pitch bending. A lenient flute with a lot of character. Mysterious voice, yet structured well. Is meant to be blown expressively. A true testament to understanding just “where” being on pitch is all about. Meant for the intermediate and above, but there’s no reason to not make this your first flute either. The fetish block is made from Purple Heart and Cedar, and the mouthpiece has Rosewood and a mystery wood on it.
